Parent Code Of Conduct

Below is a list of requirements that Cardiff City Football Club expect all parents to adhere to whilst their son/s attend a Advanced Development Centre or Academy event.

The requirements have been developed and implemented in order to ensure that every boy is able to learn and develop in a positive learning environment where he receives instruction, guidance and coaching based solely on the clubs philosophy and being delivered by the Advanced Development Centre coaches.

The Bristol ADC reserves the right to remove any parent, and if appropriate player, when the Parents Code of Conduct is seriously breached.

The requirements of the Parents Code of Conduct are as follows:

1. Parents accept and consent to the philosophy and methodology of the Advanced Development Centre small sided syllabus and games programme including the 4 v 4, 6 v 6 and 8 v 8 games formats.

2. It is imperative that all parents remain within the parental viewing areas during training and game nights; parents are strictly prohibited to enter the marked playing area and changing room facilities, the only exception to this is if their son is involved in a medical emergency. Any unauthorised persons entering the marked playing area or changing facilities will be asked to leave the venue. This includes encroachment onto the playing area during training and during games nights.

3. It is strictly forbidden for parents to ‘coach’ or shout onto their children from the viewing  area during training and match play, any such behaviour disrupts the optimal learning environment set out by the Advanced Development Centre. Coaches are the only authorised persons allowed to deliver technical or tactical advice during and Advanced Development Centre session. Any unauthorised persons displaying this behaviour will be first warned and upon the next instance asked will be asked to leave the venue. It should be noted that gentle encouragement and praise, which is not related to the training activity or match, are positively encouraged.

4. Parents are required to conduct themselves in a civil manner at all times during an Advanced Development Centre session, any grievances or complaints must be taken up with the respective Centre Managers.

5. The use of foul, abusive, homophobic or racist language is strictly prohibited at all venues. Any person found using this type of language will be asked to leave the venue.

6.  Alcoholic beverages, drugs and cigarettes of any description are strictly prohibited from being take to Advanced Development Centre venues.

7. Cardiff City Football club forbids the use of still and video cameras other than official club photographers authorised by Cardiff City Football Club at any of our Advanced Development Centres. We have taken this measure to protect players by following child protection and welfare guideline

Bristol Development Centre forms part of our player pathway, developing junior talent through high level coaching. We offer the oppertunity for talented young players to train and improve whilst still playing for their club.
